Hong Kong!!! Pow!

Enjoy the photos of my trip to Hong Kong! I spent 3 days there. Day 1 Disneyland Day 2 Toy shopping Day 3 Around town I found a lot of nice vegetarian restaurant but the Astroboy Shop was closed already so I could not shop there. Victoria's Peak by night is fantastic, it really does feel like Ghost in the Shell (like Nat said) but the new terrace is pretty up high and it gets cloudy and humid really fast! Anyways HK is fun but the street signs look pretty dangerous LOL and walking through the people is like a videogame where you have to kill zombies.

A questo qua pero' l'ho fatto marchiare sul retro cosi' vediamo se lo capisce che comando io, non lui... cioe' comanda il mac, poi ci sono io e poi c'e' lui... spero.

And one knows that lego is love when spending 7 minutes to put together the organ for the captain's cabin... is the best part of the day!

Quanto amo la lego... e ti accorgi che ami la Lego quando montare l'organo che va nella cabina del capitano in sette minuti... diventano i sette minuti migliori della giornata!

Il mio nuovo tesorino ha due libretti delle istruzioni e nessun numerino sulla busta. Fatto di proposito per fare impazzire i pirati, sta cosa, visto che è l'ammiraglia della marina.

My new precioussss... has 2 instruction books and no numbers on the brick bags... meant to drive a pirate insane, since this is the Admirality Flagship.

Ma siccome so' pirata fuori, dentro e tutt'attorno... io ho diviso i mattoncini per colori come se stessi facendo un puzzle.

Since I am a true pirate I divided the bricks by color... you won't fool me, Lego! ahr ahr ahr!

Svegliarsi alle sei per mancanza di sonno ha i suoi aspetti positivi....

Well, I finally managed to finish it!

Eravamo rimasti qui... ma, finalmente l'ho finita!
Lo sapevo che "ce la potevo fare a farcela"!


As usual this stuff starts assembling in a very random and mysterious way... until you find the meaning of it all and something really cool shows up!

Come sempre, il montaggio piuttosto criptico, ti fa andare alla cieca smadonnando finché il disegno divino non si manifesta ai tuoi occhi con qualcosa di assolutamente fantastico!

And here's the poop castle! With a cannon that had me laughing for twenty minutes... because it rotates and you can really shoot anywhere you want!

Ecco il cassero di poppa, con tanto di colbruna rotante posteriore che mi ha fatto sganasciare per venti minuti buoni - al solo pensiero di poter sparare in ogni direzione!









The doors... put them on the hinges before you add the bricks or the thing will fall apart.

Meglio montare le porte sui cardini prima di mettere su gli altri mattoncini o tutto l'ambaradan ti si sbriciola in mano.




You add the deck (it actually slides *ç*) and then you pass onto the next piece to be put together.

E dopo aver montato il ponte di comando, che si apre in maniera scorrevole rivelando la cabina del capitano, si passa al pezzo successivo.

A voi bompresso e polena... stranamente attaccata al bompresso... con tanto di... sirena/no(?), quadratissima e non certo l'Ariel di turno!

This was another of those mysterious moment where... I didn't know what was going on and was just folliwing Danish' instructions...

Finally, after the riggings, I get to the sails.

Cannon pirate: Here I go!
Pirate: Dude, you are on the wrong side of the ship!
Cannon pirate: Oh, ship!

Cannoniere: Mo' ti strafulmino!
Pirata: A coso, sei dal lato sbagliato della nave!
Cannoniere: per la Peppa e la Peppina!


Crow's nest: The British are coming!
Sword Pirate: I'll make skewers of 'em!

I could go on like this for ever but I will stop here, so stop hatig me - get your own pirate ship instead and have fun with it!
