Singapore! on my way out...

Come esco di casa...

I get out of home and walk towards the exit.

Esco di casa e mi avvio all'uscita.

This is the side entrance to NYP facilities.

This way the covered pathway continues to the bridge.

Today is sunday, so I'll be needing my pass to get in and out of NYP facilities.

This is a campus map. We are getting out on the bottom side between the pink and the purple buildings.

As you can see the gate on the bridge is closed on sundays and every evening after 6 pm. You need to push a button to get out and flash a card to get in.

This is the button to push to get out... I never find it. It's hilarious, I look around the walls for long moments before I see one.

This is where you flash the card to get in. Needless to say I never find these either and they are everywhere, on each side of each door... I just never find them and never slide the card the right way.

All around the school premises is this thin blue line. It says: NYP ends here (or begins if you are entering). Since NYP is a smoking free area everybody goes and smoke on the bridge beyond this point... there aren't that many smokers though... I mean if this were Italy the bridge would collapse.

All the signs are written in 4 languages: English, Chinese, Tamil and Malayu. Actually malayu should be the second language... but the Chinese took over in number and so are more dominant. The nationa anthem is still in malayu though.

When they have men at work they put nice signs up.

Every courtyard has a playground.

C'è un parco giochi in ogni cortile.

and a fitness center for aunties and uncles. That's what you call old people here... you call them sir and madam and they don't like you.. they don't feel the respect and the affection.

Evil litte velociraptor like birds.

Però so ladri.

Now watch this video... can you hear an annoying whistle, almost like a crazy kettle, going through it? Can you imagine having to hear to this drilling sound for 12 hours on week-ends?
Yup, it's a little yellowbird, he always shouts like this and never get a heart attack... why? beats me... he should get one!!!

Ora guardate sto video.

I am not just showing random stuff here... it's plumeria growing wild and free along the roads.

The picture is a bit washed out. This should be bright red.

These ones here actually have the bright pink of the above ones. LOL

I have to finish up with food... these are lotus seeds buns. Dunno what the lotus seed jam is made of... it's good. They are steamed kinda like dim sum.

Nat... yes, I know it's made from lotus seed but I can't figure out what lotus seeds are... I mean I see them and I wonder how you make jam from it.
Anyways yes I am working in the same area but not in the same same department, my boss is another nice girl called Gwen! I'm in Arts and Creatives.
