tezuka mon amour II

so this is the actual first set of tezuka's masterpieces... it's quite tiny... but very details and so much fun to put together, awesome mold, awesome plastic... smells fantastic LOL
Oo. Jaaaack II .oO

this other Jack is the other love of my life... as hard as it may seem to believe my favorite one is the center one, with Jack sitting on the statue of the angel,
that is my favorite scene in the movie... when he sings "what I have I done" (It was so friggin Phantom of the Opera came to his senses kinda thing LOL).... and I love that tune very much too and I like how he goes from sad to being his old self again.
Just wonderful.
I love the details in these toys but oooh they are so teeny tiny and it was hard to put them togeter without breaking them (I did have two accidents on the sleight one sob)
but hey.... isn't this set just gorgeous? (and it was cheap too)
Mirai Otoko Conan

family grows... my little airplane found a gimsi with his little piggies.
Magical girls!

This is the famous set of Majokkos... the magical ghirls....
ask me the names in japanese? maybe I know one of them.... these girls were on tv when I was a little girl... Bia vs noah (blue hair and pink hair girl) were witches trying to compete to become queen of the withc kingdom (yeah sounds like sugar sugar rune right?), sally the girl on the broom was princess to the witch kingdom and came to earth to learn... stuff.... Lily the blond girl was looking for the flower with seven colors to save the magical kingdom..... and she traveled the world but the thing was growing right in her backyard (how ironic) LOL
oh boy I love mojokkos!
the arcadia II

My own spaceship... after years of yearnings... my own pirate spaceship.... muahahahahaha.
the guy rip me off though, I pay 15 buck fro this... it aint' that big either... but what the heck... it's the friggin' arcadia!
Captain Harlock's ship!
PRECIOUSSSSSSSS!

I sure hope my precious... will never ask for food.

E se dovessero svegliarsi un giorno e domandare pane... andrei fallita.....

I had a friend who used to do this: call me the moment she got home after we separated for the day. We said bye bye see ya tomorrow, she'd go home and call me: I am home. I'd say: cool. We'd talk for 20 minutes then hang up.
One day she didn't call and I was having dinner, so i didn't notice her call didn't come. She called me after dinner and said: " where you worried?"
that's when I realized... oh that's why she calls.
our other friend, instead, demanded that she would call her as soon as she got home... and if she didn't call then the other friend would call her and see if she was okay. The other friend would freak out and scold her: you didn't call? I was worried.
funny thing... I am still friend with this girl, she is my oldest, bestest friend... the other friend went her own way.
in the end, I think people show they care in different ways and we each are dense our own way.
my mom always says: the good horse, you cannot judge from the start but from its arrival at the end line.
I think you can get a picture after seeing many things of people...
me I alwasy try to go 360 degree around a person, if I stopped at 180 I'd be dating pretty boys.

friday is taco bell day!
Emmie asked me to go with her but i was so scared (cuz she crosses the street when the light is still red)
she says she crosse when she has the number still counting down... is that true? No way! I am not so sure about that,
so I asked for reinforcement and amanda and Christian came along too.

today is panini day! I emily going to ask anybody for reinforcemente against me?

this is the next one I will be taking pictures of. This set, was like Hell!
Hell to put together, Hell to keep together, Hell to understand how to put it together.... Hell.
I also must take picture of my Glass maks set.. cuz it was hard to get.
My darling set of cyborg 009.
my two aralechan set.
my one piece figures.
my beloved black jack and pinoko.

I only have this one... hard to find the rest, I have another full set of Conan tho. pretty cheap looking... it's alright, it was cheap, maybe it's also pirated cuz I cannot Officially find it.
I have to stop here for now but I have lotsa picture to take for sure... LOL.
I love dumbo!

I got this as a b-day present. I love the ravens pushing him from behind. Funny enough that year I got another one, a different one, for my b-day as well. So I got 2 Dumbo's gasha for my b-day, ppl must really know I am a serious Dumbo lover.

I got this set at wondercon. I got a box of 6 and found the full set inside. the two spare ones I gave to my friends, one of which had fallen in love with the blue vehicle. I love toriyama mecha design that is why I got this set.

Tezuka mon amour!

I wish I had better pictures I know they are blurred. the piece to the left, Atom and Denko is very very rare!

I have to say I do love Uran a lot she is so cute, so naughty but so cute.

these sets are estremely well done, probably the best I have. Honestly I think the mold is perfect the construction is perfect, they come together easily, they stay together and the ammount of details is impressive. I have other sets based off of tezuka, I think they are all done by Takara.
they are encased and my very preciuoses.... preciousssssss.

I also have another tezuka set, it's much smaller than this, but it's also older and very rare. I cannot find pictures of it online and I did get the last one in store... so to see it wait for my pics. (hurry dedaaaa take pictures of your toooys)
so these are pics from my current favorite online store, it's called Tokyofantasy they are in Singapore but basically you can ask them for stuff and they will find it for you. Shipping to the Us is cheap, around 10 bucks but they give me great deals, they find what I want and treat me all the time! ^__^
so hurray for Tokyofantasy and may all my toy wishes come true.

p.s. they just found me the majokko set from tohei and are looking for the pierrot majokkos set.

I wish I had all of them but unfortunately I only have five.
thepicture was taken from the website I alwasyshop at. But let's say this post is under construction until I take more pictures of my toys.
Dragon ball - arch I

Yeah I have to say i am a sucker for the first arch of dragon ball, it has something magical about it.
so to me the moment oolong express his wish for panties to the shenron dragon... well it was the perfect climax. LOL
that's why I got this toy.

I don't like corpse bride very much, I think that even Johnny depp's voice was pretty bland. Artistically it's phoenomenal. but it has no story to me and the characters have no appeal. although I like Nightmare Before Xmas more I prefer to buy Corpse bride's toy. When it comes down to appeal, Victor is such a cutie. I think Victoria was very charming character, very Sally-like too.
In the end I bought these two figures although I don't care too much for the movie, just cuz i loved the puppets. Boy were they beautifully done. I mean, three parts mold puppets with breathing mechanism and all of that! And I had never seen so many replacement parts. The design was also marvelous although always brilliant, not at all consistent, the characters felt designed by different artists.

anyways. I just loved these.
I think I will have to take my Ichabod back with me too... I mean, Jack, ichaboad and Victor definitely make the perfect Johnny Depp Toy triad (I have edward's scissorshands somewhere too... but where? O_O)
bohoo emily calls me debbie to piss me off.
Bad bad emmi-chan!
Oo.Jaaaack.oO

we are coming down to pure love here. Deda loved pirates since she was 5, deda loved Johnny Depp since 1993. When POTC came out I thought it was going to suck. Let's face it, the movie is alright but thank God for Jack Sparrow and so... as I went to visit my dear friend Linda for Xmas she gave me this huge Xmas present and really made my day! I was aghast when I saw it and thought that not even tears could express my joy.
It is gorgeous!
Unfortunately he lives in Italy with my mom (but not for long, wait for me dearie I am coming to pick you up) and he is the first thing I demand to see when we talk via msn messenger.
Yes, cuz jack is my love and my life and I live to hear his 15 sentences among which "why is the ruhm gone?".
savvy?
Guts and Griffith

It's hard to say why I didn't get the whole set... well maybe not, I just don't like the other monsters... the previous sets were all made out of pretty small figures, I think Berserk deserves monumental.
And so for the time being I got those two nice fellas but I definitely plan on getting more Berserk stuff... hopefully the future sets will be more interesting or I'll switch to action figures.
Hot babes - part III: more uber bishies

yeah so we have Darsch (dark schneider), Hurricane Polymar and Goldrake. Need to say more? don't they speak for themselves? I do believe so.

hot babes - part II: Devilman

would you deny that akira Fudo is such a babe? well I think even in the anime version and with his blue skin he's like the uber- bishie!
For the love of God man, how can blue look so nice on anyone but you!
I love you, you are koo! Ditch miki and come find me.
hot babes - part I: shishiosama

Yeah i got the hots for him, he is so mummy-like, all those sexy bandages and the fire in his eyes. Makoto Shishio is my favorite character from Kenshin... I am not a huge fan or ruroni kenshin (samurai x), but I loved the Kyoto arch and all thanks to Shishio. He was sooo friggin' hot! yeah baby yeah!
lupin the III

this was the most humorous set of Lupin the III I could find. the pieces are rather small but the background are tall so I cannot encase them.
I think these pieces are the one that best represent the character of this series... I just love Jigen.
galaxy999

boy what got me into buying this? it was the emotions.
I barely remember the show and have doubts about getting the manga (they canceled it anyway). I a more of a Captain Harlock fan, yet I have not found a single set that would satisfy me. If the sculpting isn't decent I don't buy it.
but this set is made by very tall figurines and it had lots of emotions in it. Not to mention the mold were perfect and the piece would come together nicely, some of them were really hard to put together though... as some of the attaching points were intertweened behind other attaching points.
Art wise, awesome, mold perfect but technically it wasn't planned so brilliantly.
I still like it very much though but i cannot encase it because Metel is too tall.
deda
minashigo hachi

I first bought the one with hachi and his mom. When I saw it I was moved to tears...
then I went to singapore and i got the rest of the set.
I love the details and the colors of the set. although the mold is not very good and some parts come off very easily and so I ended up putting glue on some of the pieces.

I used to watch this show when I was a kid, all the time. It was sad and cruel.
I developed a huge love for insects back then.
deda
Ashita no joe

ashita no joe I got as a very good deal. I got it when I went to animexpo last summer.

.

some details.... like the death of joe, the back of rikishi, the interaction between rikishi and joe made me fall in love with the set, that and the fact it's big figurines... I belive around 12 cm in height.
Ashita no Joe is one of my favorite series.

who is Joe yelling at?
of course..... it's rikishi... although he does not seem interested hahahahahaha...
and look how cool the back of Rikishi's in full fighting attire looks.
he was my favorite character, I absolutely loved his attitude and devotion to his believes.

the grass in rikishi's mouth is a very nice touch,
deda
My beloved gashapons

honestly I have a thing for kaneda, no matter how good the full set might look, I bought these before I got into gashapons, toy candies and trading figures for real.
Since then I came a long way, long enough to complete sets of which I only had a few figures... but somehow I never got ahold of the Akira set, I think I am too stuck on my beautiful looking kaneda... we stare at each other lovingly.

I think life goes down to
> things you want and things that you can have. There
> are many things I want but I can't have: I want long
> hair, but I can't have it, I want good health but I
> can't have it, I want to be Peter Pan but I can't have
> eternal youth either. In the end though, just because
> we can't have things that doesn't stop us from still
> wanting them, right?"

I am still alive... and almost wonder. I should call
Singapore... Toyland!
Those stores our nice singaporean frens suggested... woaaah!!! I was
dead and in heaven... needless to say I left like 200 SGD in the
store hahahaha I am crazy.
anyways I discovered that there is a local Singaporean Publisher...
called chuang yi, they have very nice edition, slightly more compact
than the American ones but about the same height, they have flap
covers, nice paper and the translations is reaaally not bad...
although slightly S'inglish at time (which makes me love it too... I
was laughing my ass off when I found the word brinjal in it...
referring to the eggplant. I hadn't heard that word in years since
of course my best friend used it!).
So I was led into temptation got Absolute Boyfriend and Love for
Venus here. See I was supposed to get these two titles in Italian
but I don't like very much the publisher for Absolute Boyfriend and
despise the one who acquired Love for venus so I was pretty happy...
not to mention... they cost 7.9 SGD wich makes it maybe around 5
USD.. with those covers and that paper? hell yeah!

But let's switch back to Singapore's wonders... They a load of
vegetarian food, there's a restaurant next to the temple of the
goddes of mercy in bugis... soooo good! I have Durian icecream on
bread... woah I hadn't had icecream on bread in ages, it's a
sicilian thingy... actually a lot of the tastes, flavors, smells and
the environment remind me of Sicily... of course Singapore is much
greener... wwgweee gweee I want to import a rain tree! T_T

Next I'll eat a durian. Everytime I pass in front of the store and I
see durian, rambutan, longans... I'm like... mhhhhh me wannnaaaa!
Now Durian really smells you know, one may think that somebody left
the stove open and the gas is spreading... actually there's a second
smell to it that's rather sour and then a third smell that's very
fruity and yummie... so if you learn to isolate the first stingy
smell... you really crave for the other two! O_O

On orchard road there's a huge takamiya mall with the biggest
Kinokuniya I've ever seen. Huge Japanese and Chinese selection of
manga and they also have the american ones not to mention their own
local publishing... with a warning on the back that says "not to be
sold outside of singapore" so you won't find this stuff online.

of course the best part, yesterday I saw the Esplanade (finally) and
my beloved merlion. I was in love with these two monuments ever
since I did the advertising campaign for Singapore (could not find
my posters here though I wonder what they used them for)... and I
had to draw them. I actually expected the explanade to be slightly
bigger... not too much but maybe a 10% longer on the side....
the Merlion was exactly what I thought it would be (only I figured
out that the waves at its bottom are made of glass so at night they
light up and I was thrilled to see that). I actually was surprised
to see how far he manages to spit the water of the Singapore
River...

I also finally saw the skyline by night but let me tell you... the
weather here is something incredible. I am used to hot, summer in
italy is 103 F... 45 Celsius in the shade with 80% of humidity and I
also lived in central florida for one year...
but there's something about perpendicular sun. I am not joking, I
have never bee this close to the equator and the difference is quite
noticeable... my limbs were swelling... especially my heels and
toes... also I am not getting sunburned or anything but my frekles
are spreading like crazy and I got like a brown stain on my forhead
(a few frekles joined forces dammit). The light is white and light
yellow while in San Francisco is ochre and purplish towards dusk...
I think all the green bouncing back the light is what makes it look
so glaring.

Sometimes during the day I feel my blood is boiling so I have to
stop and drink. I drink a lot, but it's not because I get thirsty...
for some reason I never do and I don't really sweat a lot.... but I
have to drink to cool down cuz my body temperature goes up... like a
car radiator without cooling fluids.

isnt' that weird? O_O
Yah, I'm loving it!
I love the rain trees who go to sleep at night! HEEE and taking
pictures of flowers like crazy.
I like vegetarian foor here: no garlic! yay!
but now I'm running around doing errands with my best fren as her
bridesmaid... so she is taking me super local places and malls.
yesterday we went to a car shop cuz her husband got into an
accident... we went to this place that looks like a parking garage but
every floor has a bunch of car repair shop, it looked like a scifi
movies.
so I was taking pictures and this uncle kept looking at us
like "what's there?"
I still have to eat durian but I already saw that it smells like gas,
I mean like a stove when you leave the 4 things open and gas runs out,
O_O
So yah, I'm in Singapore already lah!
and tell you what it's friggin' hot down here.
I have been going around only two days now... haven't seen the main
tourists place yet, mostly I am drinking lotsa cool juices, guava,
sugar cane, longan etc etc etc. eating fresh desserts... went to
moss burgers...s ooo funny... and eating lots of cool vegetarian
chinese food like fake shrimps, fake ham and so forth.
I went to see the national library, awesome!
and did a little shopping already. You know they have the same
snacks we have in Italy I was so thrilled hahahaha.
actually vegetation is amazing, they have Sensitive ferns growing as
grass on the side of the pavement... you know the type of fern that
if you touch it, it pretends to whiter and die?
I used to have it when I was a kid, and bought it constantly until I
moved to US... and here it's grass!! O_O
they have rain trees that go to sleep at night, and all kinds of
frangipanes, so different from the hawaaian ones, cuz they even have
deep red ones with no white center.
It's very green everywhere, now I know why my best friend felt so
deprived of green when she lived in SF.
I went to a chinese temple of the goddess of mercy yesterday and my
friend did a prayer+fortune telling thing... it was so great!
oh you know? they have no napkins in Singapore. I am enquiring with
everyone why is that... but everyone goes around with tissues in
their pockets cuz there's no napkins in the food courts.
Nobody can quite figure out nor tell me why... they have tons of
signs about fines though... and t-shrts that collects the sign and
says "What a Fine city" hahahaha.
On one hand this place reminds me a lot of Sicily.
On the other hand is clean and organized... then has little
loopholes like... cars don't stop if you are crossing so you have to
be careful (like in Italy! O_O) and there's no napkins.
So far I loved the wet markets and eating so much fresh food and
veggies... but my body temperatures was rising like crazy yesterday
so I was drinking like a camel to cool me down...
Apparently I am a bridesmaid... I didn't know... apparently I am one
of the sisters that's supposed to stop the groom when he tries to
come in the house and fetch the bride hahahaha.
but I think I am starting to understand what Jack Sparrow meant when
he said :Clearly you have never been to singapore.
This place si "cross and delight" at the same time hehehehe...
but I still have many more days to go, hven't seen the merlion
yet...
